Ignorant Cali cops profile imports, Huge raid. Bet they get sued!

Meeting at a known street racing venue after dark, that is sketch.
Cops busting people who's cars were parked with no evidence of street racing, that is also sketch...and a violation of innocent until proven guilty.

nope. its not a huge meet though...
at an average meet we might have 6 cars, at a good meet we might have 10-15 cars.

we usually meet at a mall parking lot and then convoy to dinner or somewhere for a quick photoshoot if we have time. then convoy to bowling or somewhere to hang out. we spend alot of daylight time hanging out by the cars.

Agreed...can't really support either side...

Both sides were wrong, but if everything is the article is correct, one side was obviously more wrong.

if it was a preventative measure, all they should have done was made their presence apparent... no need for the other mess...

on true life im a street racer, thats what the cops did, it worked..

i just dont think its fair that cops see a car w/ a can and assume its a streetracer..

my car has a can (its a ricer, i admit) but its not even loud, it doesnt even really have a tone unless it idling or i floor it..

this cop was ON MY AZZ obviously getting my plate number to see if there were any warrents, lol..

i kept my speed 2 mph under.. turned my music down.. and made sure my exuast didnt rev.. he followed me for a good 5-8 mins then just turned around, lol

but maybe cops dont get that jus cause ppl like to build stuff doesnt mean they are gonna "race" it..

like me, i build boxes for subs and shit all the time, i almost never get to use half of them, its just a hobby and i do it for fun cause it makes me happy.. \\same goes for imports..

as for the people that got ticketed. you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. its your fault. if you were in a "known drug neighborhood" at 2am what would the police assume. go to a different spot or organize the event in a way that police will know its more of a car show than people getting together to race. its called cover your ***, and noone did.
