as i was walking to my car after getting off of work tonight a guy i know from school pulls up with his new "awesome system". he's got the $60 sony HU from wal-mart, two pyle speakers in two seperate boxes, each probably 2-3 cubes powered by the HU, two zeus 12" subs(has anyone even heard of zeus before?) in a box he made himself, that is smaller than the boxes for the speakers, and the subs are powered by a "1000 watt" legacy amp.

i sat next to him in a class i had so he knew that i was intrested in car audio, so he was looking to show off. right now i have a clarion dxz835mp HU, CDT HD62-ef's, & the soundstream 2300 powering the CDT's.

he kept insisting that his pyles would sound sooo much better than my speakers. he was with his g/f and i didnt want to embarrase him, and make him feel bad about pissing away the $700 he spent getting all of that simultaneously. so i kindly declined his challenge telling him that i wanted to go home & take a shower. he just kept insisting that his pyle's were better (while calling me a ***** through his body language). //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rotflol.gif.b453361716769b8110ddefc85ff03cd2.gif

i never did play my system for him, but GOD did i want to! i wonder if he will ever figure out anything. i wanted to tell him how bad his stuff is but he doesnt know anything and would probably think that i am either jelous or i am just trying to insult his stuff.

anyone ever dealt with someone like this?
