jesus christ existed. you can't deny that. so i see no problem in saying merry christmas, as you're just celebrating his birthday. do i believe he was the son of god? no, but what's the point in trying to argue with everyone that says merry christmas? i don't care if anyone else believes, i'm not here to ruin anyone elses day.

People use religion TO justify their actions. AKA Son of Sam, Charles Manson, THE ENTIRE CRUSADES, George Bush, and Donnie and Marie Osmond.

And being atheist is more about not allowing fairy tales to run the way you live your life. If anyone thinks that praying to God and following the Bible to be forgiven then they should be institutionalized.

I believe in God, not religion.

As for Christmas, its about family and togetherness, and based on Gregorian calendars that only had 10 months to begin with, there's no telling the actual DOB of Jesus.

Jesus quite possibly was a real person, though is actions are most likely exaggerated to make his 'story' sound better to those who follow his teachings.
