If you put airplane fuel in your car ...

Well if you dont believe me that yours call. I saw the title and laughed because I have seen it done. I'll see if I can get him to do it again but he said it was expensive. Idk what JP5 is, Im guessing jet fuel, but this stuff was pure blue. He had about a gallon of it in the trunk as well to show us. He filled his car up with about 10 gallons and it actually ran the same. No power loss what so ever. Also we poured about a cup full into the gas tank of an srt4 for shits and giggles.

You can run a small amount into a full tank to boost octane. You cant run a whole tank of it of even a large amount for that matter. And Grimreper please stop talking, yo have no idea what the hell you're saying. Go find newbs on a honda forum and spread jibberish BS there.

I run the same as ground pound in my banshee. Sometimes i can only get 110 so ill through in a little octane booster. Rips let me tell ya, i just had to put bigger domes on it.

I call BS. Jet fuels octain so so high, you would have premature detination. so when the piston was still on the up stroke the fuel would ignite and push the piston back down.....that engine would be ****ed.
Wow your smart. You can't spell octane or detonation. Premature detonation? Are you serious? 130 octane is much much much hard to burn that 87 octane. Meaning less fuel would ignite because of the lack of sufficient spark. This would equal bad gas mileage. Premature detonation is caused by lack of octane. 60 octane gas would cause an engine to knock hell. Educate your yourself before you post anything else to make yourself look like a dumbass.

first off I hate hondas, second off I do know what Im talking about, its just not worded correctly. Nor do I car to fix it because no one really cares. I still dont think it was done, but its possible that I could be wrong.

regular aviation gas is around 100 octane and is complete shit. I wouldnt ever run it in my dirtbike let alone truck. Plus, aviation gas uses a different octane rating system than gas at the gas station. Everynow and then i get sunoco 110 and mix it 50/50 with 93 and run it in my bike. Seems a little snappier and smells a lot better. Octane does not increase power at all. Running more octane than the engine needs will actually make you lose power. The only way you get extra power out of race gas is when its oxygenated... VP U4 is very good but costs 85 bucks for 5 gallons.

thanks for the clarification to the idiot that didnt know that 130 is harder to burn than 87, which is why forced induction vehicles use higher octanes. As for grimreper you may know what your talking about but as I said you dont have to believe me but it was done and the car is still running fine 2 months later.

the funny thing is I have a freind who worked at an airport and bought some 130 octane gas (jet fuel) and filled his honda accord v6 up then drove it around...
Uhh how much did it smoke, he basically put diesel in.

if your talking 100 low lead (baby blue in color), it wont hurt anything (maybe kill a little performance and make a little bit of buildup), but if you talking jet fuel like jet-a well that's ok if you have a diesel, but if you put that in a gas car, it's like putting diesel (more like diesel 1 then 2) in.

Short answer unless you work on the ramp and can somehow get it for free, don't bother.

**** it, you beat me to it. +1 on this guys comment, as octane rises - the likelihood of detonation decreases.

If you have some good mods it may be better. I through in some 93 with a booster one day because i was lazy to go get 110 and it was sluggish. Maybe it could be the domes but i also run a boost bottle and a pro-cool head with modded pipes with a bore done?
