Ok, I got a new cd player (I had a Clarion DXZ635MP and got a Clarion DXZ945MP) All I did was take the old cd player out and put the new cd player in (didn't change the wiring or anything) The subwoofer level control isn't working on the new cd player for some reason.... (It stays the same whether it's on -5 or +5)

Someone said that I might have turned some control off or something and I'm trying to figure out how to turn it on.

I just figured it out. When I go to sub control it doesn't work when I change the volume by using the touch screen but the volume control knob overrides it I guess. So I just have to use the volume control knob instead of the touch screen part on sub control.

According to the manual on Clarion's site, the subwoofer controls will not adjust if the subwoofer setting is turned off. The manual says to push the A button and scroll to the subwoofer under the sound menu. Then use the knob to select on or off. You may have tried this already but if not it's worth a shot.

I have a different model Clarion and the controls are less than user friendly.

Wow I'm stupid. When I was turning the volume knob on sub control all it was doing was turning the volume up or down, so not only was the sub getting louder or quieter, the music was as well. (All I was doing was turning the volume up or down)

I'm going to check my RCAs tomorrow but I don't think it's them because if I had the wrong RCAs wouldn't the sub just not play at all? Right now everything is playing fine (all four speakers and the subs)

it would still play unless you had the crossover going to block the other frequencies from going through the RCA's

i use my front RCA's to test out other peoples sub amps and such
