Yeah, I put them in before and they surprised the hell out of me. At first, I thought they were a tad harsh but I tweaked it and within 5 minutes it was sounding pretty darn good for a HU powered speaker //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

i was thinking this but im not sure about adapters and custom installs to fit that size. Im just trying to do this so i get good sound on a low budget. the car im doing is not all that so i just want upgrade from stock and my speakers are blown and my cdplayer display is busted. im gonna run the front doors and thats it. its a 99 cutlass, my daily driver. I dont want to go to a local shop cuz theyll just rip me off when i can buy the goods online for cheaper.

In all honesty if we're talking coaxials run off the head unit I would probably try any reputable brand name that is priced reasonably.

somehow getting 6.5's.. or even 5.25s to fit opens up alot more possibilities.

A 5.25 or 6.5" speakers do up your options...but...If you need to run a 4 x 6 with $100...have a look at these

I too would be in favor of cutting bigger holes and going with 6.5's. If you are content with going with 4 x 6's the image dynamics or the polk's that were mentioned would be good choices.
