I live in FL, and I'll have to agree with this law. I mean, if it's in a residential, I turn it down. That's just not called for. But, if they started enforcing it on HIghways/Industrial/Semi-Industrial places, then I'm gunna be straight p*ssed. But, I definitely turn down my music when I'm in a residential. Unless it's my neighborhood; 'cause basically everyone in my neighborhood are friends, and they all like loud music. ^-^

I can see both sides on this one. But I am one that if I am in a neighborhood I for sure turn it down. If I see a cop I turn it down I have enough other reason that they cna pull me over like the tint on my windows the dvd I am watching or the fact that in minnesota it is law that you have to have a front plate on your car now that is a stupid rule. Bu tI do agree people driving with loud systems in a neighborhood or like pulling to a gas station is dumb have some respect also if you see a old person walking turn it down they dont care to hear what we are listening to

If the law was passed uniformly for all sound violations, I would support it. However, diesel engines from semi trucks, loud exhausts, motorcycles, ice cream trucks and a variety of other noise making vehicles won't get the same treatment as a young African American in a 80s cutlass with 20 inch rims.

None of those grate people half as much as fine china shaking sub bass.

Ive been competing / dealing with audio for the last 15 years, and ive only been stopped once for a noise violation .... and even then it wasnt because I had it up loud, it was because I was a white male driving a 4 door car with three mexican friends in the car. From my point of view being a ricer with a loud honda I think it should be passed only is residentail, I personally try and keep the rpms under 2k in residential parts of town because I personally hate it when some one is driving thru my neighborhood at 2k or more and waking up every one.

Who cares if they search your car if you have nothing to hide? Cops have to stereo type to an extent to catch people that really are breaking the law.
