If I'm only going to be listening to music with the engine on and revved, do I really even need a better battery ?(bought an optima redtop today to replace my under the hood.... Might take it back..). Its only 1000w rms from a rockford r-1000 and the stock alt is 125 amps. Will do big3 with 0 guage. Will my durlast gold group 75 suffice? Please try to answer both questions and yes this is a one battery setup. Im also installing headrests with monitors. Thanks!!

I doubt you're always gonna have the engine revved when listening to the system. And you never know, there may be times where you'd like to listen to music while the car is off. I'd recommend you pick up a second batt to be on the safe side. Rather be safe than sorry. And I'd rather be buying an extra battery instead of a H O alt. Pick up a second battery ASAP, you'll be ding your amps a favor.

keep both bats. and do the big3 upgrade. and run 1/0 to a distro block. then call it safe.

Its gonna be a one battery setup I sincerely doubt illever want more than 1500 watts on this system

I would replace the battery with the new one. The newer battery will act like a "voltage regulator" even with the engine on

use the optima
