Which should I buy? 1 15" XXX or 2 15" SE's. The SE's would be sealed, and XXX ported. I have a feeling the SE's would have better sq and spl, but I havn't heard either sub. Both would be powered by a Hifonics 1500D.

how much power you playing with?, SE are more geared toward SQ, i hear the spl is decent, if you goin to be pushing more than 1200watts i would go with xxx ported and it will wang like no other

I just edited the post, I'm using a Hifonics 1500D, but I'm sure that it actually pushes 1500 watts, so I don't how much power they'd actually get.

ahh ok sorry didn't see the edit, anywho, that is a popular combo around here, the xxx with the hifonics 1500d, i would got with the xxx, i guess the hifonics just depends on the wattage or what not, but i hear some are close and some aren't so it's a hit or miss, but i would go with the xxx combo, possibly 2.5-3cf tuned around 25-30hz...... definitly will bump

2 SE sealed will not be able to top a ported xxx. especially if the power is gonna be the exact same. of course this is with comparble installs.

So say just for kicks and giggles that he (I) was gonna put the 2 SE's in a ported tuned to 30hz, as compared to 1 XXX in the same tuned box, then which would should he (I) go with?
