If 8" woofer needs .75+ cuft for optimum, should I only include one in my box?

I have a 2013 F150 Crew Cab and I want to build a box under the back seat. I can see from others that have posted their boxes online that there is about .65 cuft per speaker in a box back there. Since my 8" says it needs .75 to 1.25 cuft for optimal sound then would it be better to only include one woofer in my box?

I once took 10"s out of a box and cut holes bigger for 12"s and I lost a lot of bass...

No, I am about to build a box but I need to decide what will give me the best performance in a box with roughly 1.3 cuft. Should I buy two woofers or is that overkill for the space I have and wouldnt just one 8" sound better with the limited space?

Well yeah...bigger subs that usually require more airspace.
