IDQ's or SS RLP's?

I'm looking for a new setup that sounds really good. I don't want something loud but something that is gonna hit hard. So, let me know what you guys think.

Sound splinter as well... they hit hard.

in direct comparison, the IDq's have excellent response, but the RL-p's are just as good, except well louder.

a better comparison would be IDQ vs RL-i

yes...the RLPs will handle more power and seem to have more output

SQ on IDQs is awesome tho!

rl-p seems to fit the bill

I have to say RL-p as well. Mine is awesome. very accurate and blends realistically.

So what do you guys think of 2 12" Rl-ps with a Soundstream Picasso 1500D or 200D amp? Maybe a tarantula, not sure yet.

Also, I'm still trying to figure out wiring, so can you wire to Rl-ps to a Soundstream PCA1500D? I ask b/c it is a monoblock and I wasn't sure.

i think that is a bit overboard. the RLP is placed more toward an 'in between' of the IDQ and the IDMax. the RLP does not sound any better than the IDQ imo - but the RLP has a bit more excursion. the downside to the rlp, is it needs bigger box - and ive only seen it in one IB install - so im not even sure how well it performs IB where the IDQ does it - and does it really well. imo - the IDQ sounds better and louder IB in my car than they did sealed. but thats just me.

the RLP is more expensive. more akin to an idmax. fact is, id prolly get an idmax over the rlp because costs are so close. the RLi is placed between the ID and the IDQ, so i could not think that it would be fair to relate the RLi and the IDQ.

eaither way you go - they will both sound awesome, but the RLP is a bit louder, and costs a bit more - and the RLP can be in a smaller box, and cost a bit less.

you can find IDQ's on ebay for cheap every now and again. i got a PAIR of IDQ15v2's for $300 on ebay NIB. so keep your eyes peeld!

I thought the IDmax's are like $320? The Rl-ps are running like $235 each, so they would be cheaper unless you know somewhere I can get IDmaxs cheaper.
