Idq 15" Box

o.k. well, i should be getting this sub in a maximum of a week. I need to know what kind of box is optimum for this sub. I would want the most out of it, SQ and as much SPL as possible. I was really thinking 2.5ft^3 tuned to 30hz or 32hz. Would this be a good box for this sub for SQL? Or will that hurt its SQ? I dont know what i want what are you guys running these speakers in?

I've had one sealed in a 2~ cubed box and it sounded great. I've never heard it ported before.

was it at all loud? I am going from 12" L5 with 600rms in a ported box to a IDQ 15" with 600-800rms sealed. Will the 05" L5 blow this away SPL wize?

you should have gotten a idmax instead of the idq if you wanted loud and good SQ, the idq are defenatly a SQ sub

the L5 might be louder

^^ well i didnt want SPL i wanted SQL and really i dont need it to be as loud as the L5. I just dont want to put it in sealed and it be "quiet". I would like to be able to be heard, but i am going to put a nice set of components on an amp for the front stage and maybe (i dout it thought) coaxils in the back. L5 DOES NOT=SQ!!!!! I would like more SQ than SPL. Hoping this is the sub i want, if not i will get another to make it a little bit louder. While remaining SQ oriented.
