IDQ 12+Ported Box?

I know the IDQ line is primarily a SQ sub, but would it be possible to use a ported box so that there is some SPL? I'd buy another sub more suited to my purposes but the IDQ looks best for the money right now.

i run a idq12 in a ported box. it works great in ported or sealed.
