idMAX ported > idMAXes sealed

will i get a substantial increase in output going from one 12"idMAX ported in a 2.0 cubed enclosured to TWO idMAXes in a 2.25 cubed sealed enclosure? considering the same amount of power goes to EACH sub?

right now my modded mtx 1501d is powering one in 4 ohms. the gains are set pretty low though becuz the speakers get drowned up with the gain higher. if i get a second one itll be run in 2 ohms.

you are basically doubling the woofers and doubling the power... i'd say you'd gain output but idk if it would be a substansial because of hte ported/sealed deal

i would do it. you'll get better SQ, and still have great output.

not substantial....but it definitely has the ability to get a lil bit louder. you're gonna notice more change in its reproduction of sound than anything else....
