ideas?

i just joined. not a "troll" from my experience witch i wont lie is limited, 8's are louder on notes then my 12's are quieter so that was my reasoning and i have all the subs sitting at home just need and an amp and components. and maybe a new head unit but i love my kenwood HU. just starting to get really in to car audio and see how loud i can get. ive always had a clean sounding system really loud inside but not out. now i just want to melt my brain with audio. checked several forums and this one seemed to have more reliable personal advice.

The only reason that your 8's are louder on certain frequencies than your 12s are is because of the box(es) that you have them in, the enclosure design controls what frequencies your speakers will be louder at. Stick with all the same size subwoofers otherwise you will have some major issues. All of your speakers have the potential to be loud at whatever frequencies you want it to be loud at, it has doesnt really have anything to do with the size of the speaker, just a properly designed enclosure and by that i mean one designed by a professional specifically for your speakers, car, and musical wants.
