The best of both worlds. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I know thats not possible. What i'm looking for is a sub that will get loud, but also give a good SQ when I change from hiphop to rock. The amp I have now that'll be pushing them is a Power Acoustik A2400DB. It's 900w @4ohm, 1400w @ 2ohm & 1800w rms @ 1ohm. I would like to stay with 2 subs 12"s or 15"s (maybe). Sorry if this has been asked before. I looked and couldn't find anything. If you have a link to another thread that would be great as well. Thx guys, Victor. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Those are all great selections. Knowing how much those w7 & type X's are, I should have put a price. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif I'm trying to stay under $450 a pair. I know that cuts my choices in half, but thats all I have to work with. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif Thanks for the good suggestions, keep them coming. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

sorrey but I'm just going to have to get on type-r d*** for this one just cuase your spending limit or I say get 1 super sub with sq like a tc sounds 3 hp 15" heard it out did a xxx in every aspect and spend the rest of your money on install and electrical.

15 Mag is under your budget and will sound really good and get nice and loud
Another good suggestion! But he could only afford one 15", I'd personally go with (2) 12" rlp's 4 ohm vc's with that amp.

2 Dual Voice Coil drivers with Voice Coils in Parallel / Parallel

Connecting the voice coils of each driver in parallel (+ to +, - to -) and the drivers themselves in parallel (+ to +, etc.) will result in the following impedance:

(2) Dual-4 Ohm Subwoofers: 1 Ohm

Rl-p is rated at input power levels between 400 and 1000 watts that would give around 900 wrms a piece. It will beat hard with that much power! I was thinking about getting 2 maybe 3 of em'

Website Info:

The RL-p12 is optimized for small sealed or vented enclosures. For people seeking great sound quality and economy of space, we suggest a sealed enclosure between 0.75 - 1.5 cu ft, with the general consensus being that 1.0 - 1.2 cu ft net volume is ideal for a solid balance of low frequency extension and overall output. For those jonesing for the ultimate loudness while retaining very good sound reproduction, we would recommend a vented enclosure between 1.5 - 2.0 cu ft net volume, with a tuning frequency of 28 - 34 Hz for car audio or 20 - 25 Hz for home audio.

Explain to me how a 15" single d9 or idmax 800wrms will be louder than two 12" Rl-p's 1800wrms. There will be a bit of sq difference but nothing major and the Rlp's will hurt when you want em' to. D9 and Idmax are very good subs but will have to be run at 4 ohms because they rms at 1000 and your amp puts out 1800 watts at 1 ohm. You'd either seriously overpower or be running at 4ohms. You wont have enough for two of either the d9 or idmax subs. 2 of these subs would be optimal for what you want, no doubt! Check out this link for some reviews: http://www.icixsound.com/vb/showthread.php?p=162855

doesn't have the Rl-p but you can find reviews on the forum by searching. Any of the subs will sound good, let us know what you get.
