Idea's for my Porsche Cayman S

If it's a new Cayman S (with the improved engine and the PDK ******), I would rather have that than a 911
It is an 08. 6spd short throw. These cars are quicker around the tracks then the 911's and perfectly balanced.

I almost bought one of those...but it was too small ...I never checked in on aftermarket stereo in one...Do you have a pic of yours?
I'll get some pics together of the car and of the sub enclosure that is in it as well as existing speaker placements.

I honestly don't think I would even bother with a system in that car. Just turn the radio off and listen to that engine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif
lol. Reminds me of my uncle who supposedly dropped ~$8k into audio for his Lambo Countach. He later claimed it was one of the worst purchase of his life seeing how he couldn't even hear the music over the engine anyways //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Depends on which 911, but now with the power boost and the PDK, the base 911's power advantage is essentially gone. It is more balanced (Mid engine vs rear engine). Plus, it just looks so much better (no more porshe bubble-butt, and the new headlights on the '09 make it look even better. Motor Trend actually called it the best sports car in the world in their March issue

The 08 with a few mods will get to the same HP. The new DFI motor has stronger internals I've read then the 08's. But, as more people start racing the 06-08's aftermarket companies will make stronger internals to swap in.

The dealer I bought this from races a Cayman S. They have been quicker then turbo's on the track.

i didnt read all of what everyone commented on but its not a good car for a first time installer at all, u will have to ditch the oem amp no way around it as it communicates via fiber/most

stock speakers could be retained but obviouslly u are looking to upgrade

if u like shoot me a pm with email and i can shoot u some info/pics from a carerra i just did

How do the stock Bose speakers fair against some of the other brands mentioned in this thread?

from that thread i sent u i retained all stock speakers in a carerra and replaced with an alpine pdx amp and an aftermarket kenwood dbl din radio and it is deff 100x better sounding then stock, but aftermarket speakers would yield a better sound for sure
