IDEA... tell me if this will work...

mmk i cut it apart and the coil won't come out with a little force.. how much should it take to get it out if its not stuck in there? or should it just slide out? it wiggles
The coil should effortlessly slide in and out of the gap. If it isn't, something is wrong, which you obviously already knew. It's going to be a matter of forcing that bad boy out, and seeing if it's the coil that messed up, or the actual motor.

idk how i am going to get it out.. i grabbed the voice coil and lifted it motor and all and shook it, it wouldn't come out and thats with 20+ lbs of force on it.. i tried pulling it out..
Hm, try using some metal snips and cutting some of the former open, may be a bit easier to pry. If it's in there that strongly though, I'm assuming it's the motor shifted //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. But you never really know for sure until it's out and you can see the gap. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

Keep on pullin my man! Try getting two pairs of pliers and grabbing the voice coil and then pulling it up/shaking it and trying using the motors weight to seperate it. I'm pretty sure the W7's weigh quite a bit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Chances are the motor is shifted if it takes that much force.

Also to x2o, I agree that most of the building is done at JL, but the parts I dont know if they are build by a JL owned company, know what I'm saying? Just like PAP makes parts for subs and Cascade uses them, and Zenon makes amp parts and companies like IA and sundown buy them.

Yeah, that's why if you read my post I say I don't know where they source the parts from //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

so the coil wouldn't budge i said **** it and pulled the copper of the coil.. it definitely shifted.. there is a big gap on one side and the other side is all the way against the coil and the wall

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. Not going to be worth fixing then most likely. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

Keep the magnet imo, it can be handy. I use a Soundstream motor here to magnetize tools and collect screws and such //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
