ID XS Vs Polk SR

i have a set of Polk SR comps right now and a friend want to sell me a set of ID XS for $300 is that a good deal? i want to know the XS will sound better than the SR? or i am just waste my time and money thanks.

What is it you don't like about the Polks-I really like the sound of them but the tweeters need to be on axis.I thought they were really warm and smooth.Are the ID's the CXS or the new XS models.I haven't heard the ID's but with their rep I would expect good midbass and sound quality.How are they mounted in your car.What do you listen to.How much power are they getting.

what type of power? are u planning on using the passive? what's the install for them look like?

i put 100rms each side but i was thinking about go bi-amp on the new ID-XS or should i try to bi-amp with the Polk SR, $300 for a set of ID-XS65 comps is a good a** deal.

ya that is a good deal. i'd try biamping the set you have now see wat happens and if you still don't like it get the id set push comes to shove you cold always sell it. are they new or used?
