The ID website doesn't list the specs on their components. But wooferetc.com does. THey list the CSX64's freq response as 45-25K and the higher line XS65's as 80-22K.

Does that sound right? The higher line's lower end freq is 40Hz higher?

Anyone listened to a comparison? I am strongly looking at buying the 64's but am lightly considering the upgrade but that scares me a little. I can't listen to a comparison. My dealer doesn't have the 65's in stock.

Those XS are known to have some nice midbass.

Below 80hz is going into the sub frequency region.

XS 65s have amazing midbass. The only other component set I can think of that gets CRAZY deep is the hertz MLK165s. My friend may be selling his new XS65s since he wants to go with some DLS or something so look in the for sale section..

I have crossed over my XS69's at 35hz with 300wrms each and there was NO issue playing that range. the XS's from ID all day long!

how much would you power the Prs comps? Its rated at 50w rms. Would 90w is too much?

if you pay attention to what your listening to 200wrms wont hurt them. Get rid of the passives and go active if possible. The passives in most sets are the weak link of most systems. I plan on uping the power on my comps from 200wrms to 400wrms just on the midbass and 200wrms on the tweets. Nothing like dynamics. I usually run double to triple rated power on my speakers and have yet to this day to have a problem.
