Okay i just got my dads 05 4dr Sierra and want to put in two tens.... The room for the box is about 10" tall x 5" depth1 x 7" depth2 x 56" wide.. Its about 2 cu. ft. before displacement. I wanted to know is this deep enough for either the re 10" that is 5" deep or the ID 10" that is 5.5" deep. It will be sealed and I am not sure which subs to get. Iam looking for more of an sq setup but want it to be able to be loud. I dont have the amp yet either but i am looking to spend no more than $250 for subs and $150 for amp.. Thanks in advance.

none of the above

save a bit for the amp and buy a sundown audio amp as for the sub by an Fi sub hands down.

they cater for evertyhting from entry level to SQ to full blown SPL monstars and sundown amps are fantastic

in your case look at the Q series of subs from http://www.ficaraudio.com and youll have to save some more for the amp unless you go to the secondhand section

I cant remember what the price for the sundowns were but the amp will depend on the size of sub you get and vice versa

good luck ohh and the companys bothare excellent in custrmer relations so youll have a pleasuable buying experience

Yes, because Fi > all in every situation, right? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Your 'informative' posts are nothing more than bandwagon jargon, and its getting old already. I love Fi as much as the next guy, but imo you recommending them over everything, all the time, with nothing more than 'they rock' or some other such nonsense, is lame.
If you are gonna start handing out recommendations like this around here, I think we need some credentials. Right now, I do not trust a word you type. You've given me zero reason to.

As best I can tell when you did your calculations you did not take into account the wood thickness. Those numbers give me 2 ft^3 but when you figure them with 3/4" MDF you only get 1.1 ft^3 and a mounting depth of 5-3/8"

Bump out the dimensions to at least 11.5" High with depth1 of 9" and depth2 of 6-3/8" and 57.5" wide This will give you 1.99 ft^3 with a mounting depth of 7"
