PLZ HELP ME!!!!!!!

alt whine, either h/u ground or amp ground.

CHECK ALL WIRING !!! every wire ! if there is a short in the wiring it will def do this.

try it at 4ohms mono to see if its the impedance your running it at

Alternator whine is a sure sign of a bad ground. If you haven't already, try making the ground wire as thick and short as possible and make sure you scrape the surface to which your equipment is grounded down to the bare metal.

Overheating issues can be another sign of insufficient ground, but this is most likely not the problem. Try moving the amp somewhere where it will get plenty of fresh airflow and maybe turning your gains down a bit.

If it keeps overheating and making alternator noise after you've made the adjustments I listed, you're likely the proud owner of a junk amp. On the positive side, they do make great door stops, paperweights and conversation pieces!

PS: Analog multimeters are only $10 at wal-mart. A very sound investment!

ok this is probaly a stupid question but i was told there are no stupid questions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

anyways why do grounds have to be as short as possible? as long as its on a good ground plane i dont see why this matters. electricity travels so god dang fast anyway i dont see how a couple more feet of ground wire makes any dif.

it adds to the resistance along the ground path, not only will it cause some loss in voltage to your amp, multiple ground paths can form and noise will be introduced into the system
