Uh... Flatline?What name is that?
When I picked this name, I did not even know Arc Audio had a sub called "Flat Line" (referring to a Line of subs with a Flat cone, hence Flat Line)........Uh... Flatline?
Seems a company could/should come up with a unique name. I thought it was pretty lame when SoundStream released a XXX series, and I think this is lame too. Im sure its an outstanding driver, and IA seems to be a great company, but they picked a lousy name.
Flatline was an awesome name, when Arc thought of it.
Yes, I follow the reasoning of the name. Problem is, someone else already thought of it, and is using it.When I picked this name, I did not even know Arc Audio had a sub called "Flat Line" (referring to a Line of subs with a Flat cone, hence Flat Line)........
The IA Flatlyne name refers to the BL curve being flat, looking like a hospital screen of a dead person......
fits our theme pretty well also
Thanks for the amazing insight. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifPeople will argue about anything these days...
If you dont like the name...
You don't like it...

I have no idea if Arc used the name due to their flat cone, or to imply a flat BL curve, that's not the point. The point is using the same name as a competitor (no, changing the i to a y doesn't make it a new name) smacks of a 'me too' product. Im confident this is not a me too product, nor that you guys want it to market that way.... Id suggest a new and unique name for your new speaker.
But this is all just my opinion.
Thankyou, Im glad you didn't take my comment as a flame. In the end, the name is irrelevant, its the performance that counts. Im confident the performance will be there, knowing you guys. Good luck with your new driver. Its all good man, I value your opinion, and the opinion of everyone else on here. Thanks for the input.
