IA DP Motor??

So i built a Custom sub using a DP motor and Lvl5 coil and spiders.. just recently ive noticed that this thing gets super hot. But even as an original 21 it still got just as hot. when i built it as a 15 we pulled the plug peice and dosent seem to help too much. Just wondering if anyone else has a dp motor and if it gets hot at all and what could be causing this
