Ia 40.1-Stetsom 7k-Fusion 4000d

X2.
No one has explained to him yet why the 12v version wont work and why to get the 16v. Tell him to buy something he dosent understand, great thinking. The car runs at idle around 14.4v. pushing that to a 12v version will blow the power supply. The 16v version can handle up to 16v so it will take the 14+v you will be giving it. The 12v version is great when the car is sitting.

Correct me if Im wrong, thats just my understanding.
The 12v will run up to 15.0v before going into protect. Its just made to be so effecient on just 1 12v for the street guys who can only have 1 battery. The 16v is for the SS classes with multiple batteries.

so what can the 16v run up to? If the 12v runs up to 15.4v, thats higher then most production vehicles (if not all) run. why does the 16v version need to be used then. I Guess I just dont understand the harm in usingthe 12v version if its able to run up 15v+?

^^ You sure about that? The 12v 7kd that I saw had a sticker on the back saying not to exceed 13.8 at any time.

The 16v can run up to 18.0v.

so why cant the 12v version be used on a 14v system? Unless its true they say not to go past 13-14v
I was told the 12v shouldn't be ran past 13.8 can can do around 14 but clipped?

the 16 i have seen stated 10-11v -18v.

all hearsay in my opinion on the whole thing.
