IA 20.1 Sale

After further considering how people are *****ing about the price, lets put this into perspective.
To equal or get near the power of a single 20.1 you would need to buy 4 1200's or 2 or 3 1501's. With this in mind I fail to see why the price is considered high for a 20.1??? Maybe people are taking the rating literally?
ok, now i'm a little confused.

are we saying here that a single 20.1 will do more power than 3 x MTX 1501d's? which is near the 5,000RMS mark..........is this at 17v or 14v we are comparing?

that's exactly what he's saying. as far as the voltage....i'm not toally sure which he is talking, but I think it's on 14v.

Just for reference, a single 1501 will walk all over 2 kx1200's... last time I tested I beleive it was more than a full db. Now consider that a single 20.1 will walk the dog on a pair of 1501's... by nearly 1.5db //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif How much power was the 1501 putting out compared to the 2 kx1200's?

God****it I wanna see some benches of the 20.1:mad: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

a single 20.1 will definately do more power than 2 1501's... no matter what voltage no matter what impence... as long as both amps are tested on the same load. The 1501 at full output is capable of about 65-70 volts and about 35-40 amps... a single 20.1 is capable of well over 70 - 80 volts and over 70 amps of output.

1501's modded are capable of about 2200 watts at 1 ohm, 17v

What kind of power at 14v? and what much strain is this amp on your electrical system?
It is going to be more effecient than a pair of 1501's, but will still draw a considerable amount... 2 1501's will draw near 600amps full tilt... a 20.1 will draw a little over 450 to do the same power. Daily driving is a different story... most people will only be able to draw about 190-250 on average while cranking it up, because of fluctuating impedence.

Psst...

Listen to me. I had 2 1501d's on my MT15...now I have a single 20.1

MUCH better. Sounds cleaner and louder. Even at full tilt to music...at .35ohms daily...it doesn't draw near as much current as my two 1501d's did. (Dual .7ohm MT, one 1501d on each coil).

Ugh this thread is making me wanna sell my 2500D to try one of these bad boys out, of course then Ill probably be in the hole about 200 more dollars, which I can't afford right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

edit: also you guys would have to make amps for my mids and horns to match up with it;)
