i never ever heard an amp that plays the whole bass range as good as the 9.0 or "similar" amps (usamps 2000x, steg masterstroke 3000, DSL A6).none of them is built to be driven below 1-2ohms. it is just a fact that the higher the impedance the more easily it is to build an amp that controls the conemovement in a better way (impedance/internal resistance).

i know some amps that can be run under 1ohms but i would not name them SQ amps.

I am saying on the 20.1 it will only be louder, it wont sound much much different SQ wise.
