I would like an o-scope

Now that I have all my equipment finalized I would like to buy/rent a handheld o-scope.

I've seen prices online and it seems to range from $60-$500+

Anyone have experience with any particular kind?

Do I actually need to spend 300? I'm just looking to see where my HU actually distorts *if at all* and tune my amps accordingly.

They are supposed to go all the way to 62 clean.

But I've seen others say theirs clips at 60/61

There is a big voltage jump from 60-62.

I NEEDS ALL DAT OUTPUT

And one similar to this. I don't know how much of a range Tektronix offers but 15 years ago you had to spend 10 grand to get a good one. This is crazy cheap.

Both are phenomenal. The Tek belonged to work but the Fluke was my personal. I sold it years back when money was tight.

use tones and set it by ear. you can hear clipping, its not hard to do

if you amp clips before you hit your target voltage, turn it down until theres no clipping

you will not hear it in the mid or tweeter range until its too late, i understand what you're saying when it comes to bass but otherwise i just dont see it being viable when you consider an oscope is so cheap
