I think the problem is the attitude . What ever happened to people actually being helpful ? Why all the hate for new guys asking questions ? If the question has been asked a million times, then a million people should no the answer. No need to bash people for asking questions. I myself tried an expirament last week as some of you know. Never once came close to breaking anything remotely close to the tos. Just asked questions, that were asked by other members upon arriving at this forum. And with the exception of a few. I'd venture to say there is more then a couple dissatisified.

Where in my post did I write something to make you believe that it is only a couple of people? I am well aware that it is a double-handful of folks but the main charge is being led by a single individual.

And it is still a complete waste of time as it apparently isn't going to change anything. Goob is content to leave things the way they are no matter how many times or how loudly folks complain about it. At the end of the day whether it be 2, 20, or 2000 people it still isn't going to CHANGE ANYTHING.

 

No matter how many people agree ~ no matter how many silly threads get made about this ~ no matter how many members of the moderation team try and get it changed even!! Goob doesn't feel the need for any changes to be instituted. Whether good, bad, or indifferent....the complete and total lack of interaction from the Admistration clearly illustrates that popular opinion means very little (read that as nothing) in Goob's world.

Don't get me wrong ~ to a degree I get why you lot are doing what you're doing. There are many, many of the points being brought to light that I wholeheartedly endorse, personally. My bottom line, however, stems from the knowledge (at least the assumption) that Goob simply isn't going to change anything. He likes things how he likes things and that is simply that.

 

I grow more weary of the continual, never-ending stream of threads pissing and moaning about the actions of a certain mod than the actions that prompted the threads to begin with!

i tend to disagree with the thread starter.

i do agree that some actions might have been of a biased note, and a bit rash, but when members do things to offend, or break the tos, they will be punished. if you dont agree to that, i suggest this is not the forum for you.

the reason i like this forum, is because it IS populated. i enjoy posting here because i do have several friends on this board, some of wich i have met, and that have lots of knowledge in areas that are grey to me, and vice versa. and when i post a thread, there are replies, usually instantly.

personally i think there are A LOT of imature members on these boards that take oppinions way to seriously and when a confrontation arises they dont back down. myself the other day i ran into a post that offended me (in the photochop thread) and i called the person out. he was not directing it toward me, and explained it was sarcasm ect, and i apologized and life is fine.

you people need to realize just because you are on the internet and people cant show up at your house and punch you in the balls - that does not mean you have the right to be rude and annoying to everyone because you dont think that anything will happen.

but you can get banned. you can have your avatar and sig edited.

so follow the rules, stop being imature, and be polite to other members, even if they have a more recent join date or post count. you never know who that person is.

i agree with you completely...ive been on this forum for a while but because of money issues got out of car audio for a long time...now i have a good job and im askin more questions on this forum tryin to get started back up and i remember before when you could ask 'whats the difference between blah and blah' and no one would reply 'USE THE F'IN SEARCH', they would help you because they too were once in that position

the lounge is a great idea but when u mix in immature users it turns into a problem area...this is caraudio.com, ask a question get an answer, not flamed

i think the problem is coming from both sides but in order to fix the members you must have a good team of mods setup to control it...if the members think a mod is unfit for his position...theyre not gonna take them seriously? u ever see a kid who doesnt take his parents seriously? its upsetting to see the immaturity arise from a kid who has nothing to look up to or follow...the mods need to be the guys who are here for the car audio of caraudio.com, who cares if they have 20,000 posts or 1,000 posts...if they're good...it wont matter
