i want tweeters give me tweeters,

it isn't that they are better, but you really get more for your money. Many companies such as eclipse, alpine, etc use brands such as vifa and scanspeak. You cut out the middleman. Some good tweets from madisound are seas neos which many people on diymobileaudio.com run in their cars. I have some seas neo aluminums, and they are definitely nice tweets.
I just wanted to see his response. I don't know if you would call them DIY tweeters, they're just tweeters, you just need to get the proper crossover if going passive, or using for home. Don't have to worry as much when going active.

Several of the tweeters that come in component sets are actually really good. I like Crystal Mobile Sound tweeters that come with one of their sets. The Zapco tweeters from their CK 16.2 set are phenomenal as well. But I do agree, there are many tweeters on madisound that are probably cheaper to buy than buying an entire component set just for the tweeter. Alpine (Vifa) XT19's are awesome tweeters. I had ordered some for 40 bucks but they ran out of stock and discontinued them on some other site since madisound didnt have them.

A good place to check out tweeters is http://www.zaphaudio.com and look for the Tweeter Mish Mash link. The comparison of the mids is also great tool.

I have a BNIB set of Blaupunk VC100s AKA Rainblaus. From what they say they were built in the same build house as rainbows and is comparable to the cal25s. I you really want a nice set I BNIB set of Alpine type X PROs that are said to be made by scanspeak that i might let go for the right price.

the esb/zapco tweeters that come with both the reference and the competitions are great.

if you want to try the reference ones, i'll sell you an entire 5.25" reference set for $200. brand new tweeters in the set. not because the old were blown, just that they stayed in the vehicle and the mids were removed.
