Cultivation and/or possession with intent is a misdemeanor where you are? Hmm...I reckon I stand corrected ~ my bad.

So wouldnt it take a mature person not to subue their themselves to such things?

That is entirely dependant on the individual. If it were me doing such things certainly I wouldn't advertise that I was doing so but I'm am only one person and am not naive enough to believe that everyone else does (or even that they should) think the same way that I do.

Yes that it would be. Plants themselves are misdemeanors. With a good lawyer in NY you'll get away with 8 pounds with a slap on the wrist

In most places, its usualy is based on just how many plants you had, witch helps them determin if the grow was for personal use, or to traffic, thats with the whole cultivation side, then with just haveing the weed, if they didnt know you were growing, its usualy based on quantity, to determin if you are useing it for personal or trafficing use....

My grows, and quantities are all used for personal of course

They may state in the book as a felony but 9/10 times they will get away with a severe 1st degree misdameanor charge and some heavy fines. No one cares about weed where im from. Ive heard Texas is quite bad though.

The one that made big headlines and the guy got off was

51 plants, 11 p's, 19G's cash. He got his motorcycle taken away and 5 years probation. But I think he did get a felony there. Not jail time, minimal fines. He also had grown up with the judge that convicted him his whole life though.
