i am looking to hit in the 140's or 150's but i only have a max. of 3.5 cuft for a box and 400 bux to spend on sub/s. if anyone can help ill be much appreciative. thanks

for your SPL goals it all depends on type of vehicle and amp. now i know you said your amp is 1000watts max what's the rms rating on that b/c you won't get the max wattage out of your amp unless the gain is all the way up, volume totally up on h/u, and a steady 14.4 volts if that's what your amp is rated at. anyway it also depend on box size, now you have 400 to spend on a sub also look into Kove Armageddon and DD 3500 line of subs.
