I want my LED tubes to come on when I open the door.

This.
perfect! thank you.

so where the red wire is going from the light to switch to fuse holder/fuse to battery do you have to cut the wire at each of those places and start new again when going to the next thing? or how does that work where your running 1 wire to each thing from the light.

okay well since I have 4 LED lights cant I solder all of the reds together and then hook them to the switch and so on.

or do I have to run all the positives through the switch, fuse, and then solder them all together for wiring to the battery or power source? can I do it this way? seems easiest.

I made a new diagram..tell me if this would be correct.

and I didnt add it in there but could I also solder all of the ground wires together and do the same thing?

tttt..someone tell me if that diagram is correct
that is correct but you are making it way more expensive and complicated than it has to be. getting that much wire and fuse holders and switches are way more than the initial way I told you. the way I told you to tap into interior lights is the easiest and fast way. you're creating more work and a more expensive way of doing it. if you have to insist on going straight off the battery, to do it the white way you would need a relay and than add a switch.

okay. can you make a quick diagram on on paint and post it on here to see how it works..I really DONT want to have to run them to my battery because then I would have to run the wires through the firewall and I would have to drill an opening to do that. so if you can I would greatly appreciate it. Im just not understanding how you would do it any other way.

thanks.

This. Really though, your diagram just effectively changes the gauge of the input wire to maybe 16 or 14 gauge. You can run a single run of 18awg speaker wire to the battery, get yourself a fuse holder w/ a fuse, a rocker switch, and your good. You can mount your switch anywhere you want. And for the switch terminals, there should be a power, an earth, and a load terminal, it will say so on the box. The power comes from the fuse holder which comes from the battery, the earth is your ground wire, and the load is the terminal that you connect your lights to. If you want to connect multiple ones, the easiest way would be to use a butt connector, and attach another power wire to the one that's powering a light. You may want to get some quick disconnect terminals as that is what the switch terminals commonly are.

I kind of understand all that but im still not fully understanding..if someone can make a quick graph since mine was wrong im sure it will be a lot easier for me. like this graph. http://www.oznium.com/forum/topic3633 im not understanding how all of the (+)positive wires are going through the other positive wires to the bottom of the switch. and the same for the negative wire. how are they connecting each other positive wire into 1 positive that goes to the switch? and..same for ground/negative wire.
