not hard 2 get loud in a trunk, sure it takes work, but its possible., custel is doin over 150 in the trunk of his tauras, usin an 15R. it can be done.

tobias you dont know how much work its going to take to get me past that 150 lol, 2 12's would work better in your situation due to the trunk size, otherwise you are choking it off to much unless you are willing to seal it off.

get 2 15" that handle around 1500 rms and put them in a symi large vented box tuned to 40 htz and put about 2500 to 3000 watts for burps and that should take you to 150 or more on th aidocontrol 180 mic but when you burp your subs at twice there rms sometimes you get what my avatar looks like that is a 3200 rms sub and i put about 6400 on it and the spyder seperated from the cone

your best bet is to make a bandpass box and port it thru the armrest or the reardeck so all the bass will go in the car and not your trunk

140 i can do in my sleep with 2 10's..and thats on a tl mic

Are the type R's really as good as everyone says? What is the better model 1242 or 1222? What would 2 12's be like? or would 3 10's be better? Or are there some other subs that are better for the money?

i burped a 500rms sub at 3kw and it didnt look like your avatar.....

hey man u never got with me on what the resistance of the coils on your speaks were man. but in my cavy i had a 15" Incriminator DP, on that 1501d u have at .5 ohm, and i hit a 143db legal on the dash with the windows up. i had it in a 4ft^3 after port displacement box with 78.75in^2 of port area. lemme know if u need some more help man. u got my amp i won't leave ya hangin.

I'm about to try to get around 150 in a cavalier just for fun...gonna wall off two 18" of the xxxs whenever they come out...run about 2000k to each see what happens....gonna have switcable ports as well cause ya gotta have sq.....now the old xxxs were capable oh spl levels of around 140s while sounding allright...so i'm hopeing the new xxxs will be even better.

Negative...I've got a 15" brahma ported to 28hz with 1200rms...doesnt even rattle much with the dynamatt

I was under the impression that the new xxx's will take much more than 2kw to drive them to their full potential.

2000 rms is just a guesstamation...wont know for sure how much to give them untill they are releshed anyway i wont run them at full pwoer daily only for burps
