Oh ok...like i said im new to a lot of the non-mainstream companies. Last time i was hardcore in this stuff was back in about 1995 and i had a Kicker Comp 15's in a 3cu/per sub sealed box and a Earthquake 300w amp in a 90 escort i hit 141.1 db's lol.

Everyone was pretty surprised i came in like 4th place...got beat by a couple guys running Orion HCCA amps...thats was the first time i had seen them. I asked one guy in a camaro with 4 12's and an HCCA 250 what the specs on his amp were and he told me 50wx2 i was like wtf...so i did my homework and was like..umm yeah ok i need those amps lol. My box was so frikin huge though..took up pretty much the entire hatch in my 2dr escort. just go all out , better to spend more now then buy something you wont like

fi btl, dd 9500, or aq hd3... you can throw in the atomic ap/x ap/xx models in there too if you want

Dont want to burst your bubble but 141 in 1995 is not 141 now. You probably did that score on an older Audio Control Mic, Maybe the AC 160 or something. Far less accurate than the current meter the Termlab. There is no way to tell but a 141 on the AC 160 would equate to mid-low 130s on the Termlab.

Getting rediculously loud with 1 12" takes a little work, I would look at the BL from Fi, they are a great company, and Scott has helped me out more than a few times with various things.

Just like it says folks..i wanna get loud and bang with one 12 in sub driven by a amp pushin arounf 600-800 to said one sub. if i get a single voice coilt hen ill be going for that into 1 channel...if a dual voice coil then 300-400 watts to each coil naturally. Im looking for something that fits into a box of 2-2.5 cu feet...either sealed or ported.
Ive been out of the actual game for awhile..been runnin basic sealed boxes. So im not sure what it should be tuned to...but im thinking maybe 38-42hz...or maybe not you guys let me know. For right now its going in my Thunderbird...but theres chance it may end up in a hatchback stang a few months down the road. I listen to mostly rap:fro: ....and some speed metal and the like...like Korn..slipknot...even some lamb of god everynow and then. Just wanetd to know what you guys thought.

it would help to know your price range, but I would think a jl 12w6 in 2.5 cubes ported w/ 800 watts shouild bang pretty good.

See thats why i hate posting questions like this....I GET THE FRIGGIN ITCH AGAIN!! After mentioning my Escort days and I started to think of the way people would say ..."man i could hear you coming from around the block"...i remember after the sound off i looked at my buudy who helped me witht he install and asked him if he thought i should add a bigger amp...his reply : "Dude its movin my frickin hair!!" .....i thought ..yeah its time for a bigger amp lol....which then i was gonna go Zapco and add 2 more 15's and make a wall....thatw as till myc ar got broken into 3 times and the sweet highpaying Brokerage firm i was working for shut its doors and didnt tell any of its newly hired employees whatw as going on lol.

I dunno if it would work out for you, but I would check into the Adire Audio Brahma 15, there are a couple on eBay right now. For "SQL" it's probably one of the top budget choices, along with the old RE XXX

you can pick up a used dd9500 for 400ish in the classifides... if it ever blows you can send it in and get it upgraded to g series parts

I'm prolly gonna get rid of my 2005 re xxx 15 and get the newer model, so it'll be going for $375 shipped..........give it between 1500-2000 watts, and you will have hearing problems..lol

I have never ever been a JL fan...and ye si have heard some **** good system...buddy of mine had a land rover with 2 w7's and like 700 watts going to each...pounded but i dont know..just never a JL fan. Only thing im worried about with going to a 15 is that iwill have to havea huge box to get any real output. I ran a 15" Orion XTR PRO DVC in a 1.2 cubic foot box in my 2002 Mustang...yeah it was way to small but it worked fairly well. I just didnt wanna sell it when i went from a B400 4x4 to another stang...but tis since long gone.
