that box plan should work well, he has a rockford 300 watt amp on it, but his is a D4 and he has it on his amp at 2 ohms, its not stable there so I'm not sure what kind of power its seeing.

Maybe thats an issue with you ? Dual 4 ohms for this and maybe your CVR was dual 2?

not sure why anybody would expect much of an upgrade from a cvr to a p3..
but yeah try it ported first and then make a better upgrade later

Well ...... I didn't want to break any windows on my car just wanted a little more louder , the RMS on the CVR is 400 and 500 on the P3 so that got me thiking.

any advice

Lol........Sell your amp....Find you a sub you want and think you will be happy with....build a nic eported box for it and get you another decent amp to push the sub for what it can handle and you should be really happy
