Yeah, so a little story...

Played in a hockey tournament 2 weekends ago, had my gear on all day, for over 5 hours straight. Anyway, over the next week and a half, I had what I thought was a bruise on my shin, and thought nothing of it.

Then, it progressively got more and more painful, and turned a dark red. Showed it to a few people, my g/f called her friend who is a nurse, and she told me to go to the ER. Went down, turns out it's an infection in my leg.

How do you know that you don't have MRSA? I thought it took a while for that to "grow out" after they tested it. Be careful, hospitals **** with dealing with this.

I don't really know, actually.

They said it looks like it's an infection, and it's most likely due to having my equipment on for so long.

They put me on medication that will take care of MRSA if it is it, though.

i think they gave my doxycycline, a strand of tetracycline. My infection got so bad they had to cut my arm open to squeeze all the puss out. (as seen in above pix)
