not sure if its been said on here or not but heres what ive figured out in my couple years of having car audio as a hobby.
1. ive got experience with a couple "good" shops in my area as well. basically both have shown me that if you arent willing to pay top dollar for their main brand (JL, ETC) then they really dont care about you. they will put their newest guy on the job and give you the run around if you have problems.
2. take the time to read a couple of these threads and learn how to do the stuff yourself. there is typically a bunch of guys on here that will help you along the way. you will learn its really not that hard, and then you know for sure whether its the installs fault or what is exactly wrong.
3. if you take the time to learn and do it yourself you will learn about a whole bunch of products that youve never heard of that will be 10 times better than what you have and will cost half the price.
