What do you mean? What kind of noises?personally if it were me i would try 4.5 cubes at the desired tuning. just so you can get a little more bottom end. you can reverse mount them but you may end up with some undesirable motor noises
seal it. they sound good in a large sealed box. mine are. i tried 1 ported and the 2 sealed is louder. 2 ported is hella loud though in the right enclosure, which you don't have the room for.I CAN't do that big... Impossible
I love how everyone says something afte my box is built... lol
i agree. going by the factory sealed recommendations is still too small though. they recommend a small sealed box to save on their warranty return rate. make it 1.25-1.5 sealed. i think they recommend .85. mine are in 1.25 and pound well.well if you cant go that big then either build a proper sealed box to spec or run 1 12 in 2.7 cubes. just my .02 cents. are you sure you cant go 4.5, maybe 4 at the smallest
yep. try it. it won't hurt the sub.Should I just try reversing them? I mean no harm in trying right?
How do you go about it though? just the same way only with the motor sticking out?
Yeah... I'll see what wood I have left... Maybe I'll do a box for jsut one... We'll seei agree. going by the factory sealed recommendations is still too small though. they recommend a small sealed box to save on their warranty return rate. make it 1.25-1.5 sealed. i think they recommend .85. mine are in 1.25 and pound well.
Hmmm, maybe your right...yep. try it. it won't hurt the sub.edit: how do you not have room to build a new box, but have room to invert them?
it makes the box bigger because of displacement.for me reverse mounting has never really shown any benefit, just made my subs sound worse. but not every sub, box and car is the same so you never know
