i have mine in almost that big of an enclosure sealed. if you can't go any bigger, than seal them at around 1.25 per sub. that's too small ported.7 ****ing cubes for 2 12"'s ??? lol... no... 1.75 each... Thats the recommended size...
Anyways I couldn't go any bigger...
o wow now we know your problem . Type r aint gonna sound good in a sealed box to start with. run 1 in a ported box if its a 12 then do 2.7 cubes and around 1kw rms and it will be loud if you dont have room for both in a ported box. so you need a ported box 3.5 cubes i would say around 34hz tuning and 1kw and you will be set. umm wtf are you ported or sealed???????? ported thats waay too small.
For 2 12's I would do 4 cubes total after displacement. 50-60 square inches of port area total.3.5 ported is way to small? Then why would that have been recommended to me?
Mine is 3.5 cubes with a 33hz port.
type r's are fine sealed. not optimal, but it's not bad. i'd bet that 2 sealed get just as loud or louder than 1 ported. it's a crock that R's can't be sealed.o wow now we know your problem .
