i would go to the doctor, and i would go now. I wouldn't wait till it acted up again, cuz then you're gonna say the same thing, "Oh i feel fine now, i'll just go next time it happens." Then the next time it happens you wont be so lucky....

Could also be a heart problem. You really should go see a doc sooner than later.

i used to know a friend who had heart problems at a very young age. get it checked out tomorrow. i really wouldnt wait around on something like that.

20 yrs old or not i had a friend that had a stroke when he was 17. found out hes had heart problems since a child thats gone unnoticed..... you really should go get checked out.

not to freak you out but my uncle was only 32 and he though he had indigestion. died of a massive heart attack. no drugs, excessive booze or anything we just have heart problems in the family.

good. sure would be funny if it was heart burn or something but if you really feel like it is a problem with you heart dont play around. its a very serious issue if your heart isnt working properly.

If you haven't left yet, have someone take you to the hospital instead of taking yourself. Having a stroke while driving...you can imagine the consequences.

I was born with a heart defect called Wolf-Parkinson Disease (WPD). It causes my heart's electrical pulse to get out of sync and cause episodes of SVT (superventricular Tachycardia), which is where my heart races very, very fast (200+ bpm). I have also experienced something like you on several occasions. I would be perfectly fine, and then I would start to get weird spots in my eyes that I really can't see anything. After about 10 minutes, they become zig-zag like objects that I still cannot see through. After those go away after about an hour, I get a HUGE headache that is usually accompanied with nausea, and one side of my body feels kinda tingly and numb. I have had these several times throughout my life, but after my last one (it was rather intense) I thought I was having a stroke based on many websites (word of advice: Websites can make you get so over-paranoid and make you think you are dying, so I don't really recommend always looking up every little symptom you seem to have and think the worst of it). So anyways, I thought I was having a stroke, went down the the hospital, and they did an CAT-scan and found no brain bleeding or hemorrhaging. I pretty much just came to the fact that they were migraines. You get this thing called an "aura" before you have the head-throbbing pain associated with a migraine and includes "fortification spectrum" (the weird zig-zag patterns and sparkling lights you see). And during a migraine, you can feel numbness or a tingling sensation on on side of your body. All of this is what I experience, though it can differ from person to person. Hope some of this information helps. And while I think the likelihood of you having a stroke at your age, and for being a current non-smoker and non-drug user, is very, very low, you still should go get this checked out. BTW I am in pre-med, so I am not just throwing out BS.............But anyways, go get checked out and get a CAT-scan or MRI so they can determine if you were in fact having a stroke. and Remember, there are different kinds of strokes that have different symptoms.

My friend in high school had a stroke at 16. It was mild and no permanent damage. Scary as hell though.
