wow sounds a lot like me. I would stop smoking and start dipping. And then stop dipping and start smoking. I am 8 days clean and going strong.......I'm a little concerned about x-mas break b/c I will be bored and many of my freinds smoke. Ill try to keep sunflower seeds and gum on me just in case.To all those who posted who quit, congratulations. I quit about 14 years ago after trying too many times to count. I had smoked off and on for 24 years.
I also took up Copenhagen to quit cigarettes (it does have more nicotine, so it is more addictive and more of a drug addiction than even cigarettes), only to discover the risk of mouth cancer was so bad with chew that I had to quit that too, and I had to take up cigarettes to quit the chew, then quit cigarettes (years later) finally, again. The peace of mind I have now is worth the hassel of quitting.
Quit weed back in my sophomore year of college. Could not remember stuff when I took tests.

and btw, its way harder to stop smoking cigarettes than marijuana
And in y'alls opinion, once i quit for a few weeks is it possible to have a few cigs a week and/or smoke when I'm drinkin, or would it end up being a smoker again?
yep, weed is easy to quit. Being sober isn't. Im used to being stoned every day after school, so being sober kinda sucks. Atleast i got a script for muscle relaxers, and am picking up another half gal of burnettes tomorrowWeed is easy to stop smoking. Just my $.02
What worked for me when I suddenly thought about smoking (after I successfully stopped) was taking deep breaths. Slowly. And I count at least three of them, more if the craving was bad. I imagine CLEAN air in my lungs. The chew thing, once I stopped and switched back to cigarettes, it was easy to stay off because I saw pictures of people with parts of their face removed due to mouth cancer from using chewing tobacco and snuff, so all I had to do was visualize one of them.wow sounds a lot like me.
