I Pwnd A Cop

I really wanted to speak out agianst the redneck cops that pulled me over for bumpin, but I had other things going on that they didnt need to discover. I just played it cool. TN law is that if it can be heard from 50 feet away it's a noise violation. But who gets to measure this "50 feet" ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Is that like in tokyo drift where they pass the cop and are doing 195KPH and the guy says..."They won't pursue because their cars can only do 180?"

The cops that pulled me over for noise ordinance sucked.

But the other day I got pulled over for spinning my tires. He gave me a verbal warning.

Then like a week after that I got pulled over for doing 88mph in a 55. The cop gave me a verbal warning. I definately deserved to get a ticket.

I like some of the cops, but then I hate others lol

I was a cop for 6 years in the Air Force and will be finishing up my B.A in justice next semester and hopefully getting on with a P.D. It was people like you I loved giving tickets too. They think they are so smart rattling off statutes that they know nothing about. We had a similar statute but it states nothing of using a "meter" to find the db. It was simply a matter of hearing it from distances--like more than 50 feet away. He was doing his job. He wasn’t going to get into it with a smartass so he left it at that. You should feel lucky.

I never thought about it at the time. But I should have asked the cops that gave me the noise ordinence tickets if they had me on a meter when I went by. Because all they told me was that they heard me. I will ask for proof next time.

In Marion county, FL, the sound ordinance is for anything heard 20ft away. It's the most ridiculous law ever. When I got pulled over for it, I was about to ask the cop to stand 20ft away and then I was going to start singing. At that point, I would ask for another ticket because he could hear me. My balls and bank account are too small for that though...

LOL. When did it change to 20feet? I thought it was 25ft.

And yes it is a rediculous law. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/imo.gif.3a57bcc70a4835dc53e86ffae1a0b041.gif

But the cop that pulled me over in Daytona was a cocky bastard. I was there for the Spring Break Nationals and I got a ticket. And I lost count of how many warnings lol.

The cop also failed to tell me that there was a 10 dollar court charge. Even thouh I never went to court.

LOL, I got pulled over in Marion County aswell, and got off with a verbal warning.

"Sir I could hear your music from over 100 feet away, turn it down and continue your safe night".

This one time, I got pulled over, and before I knew what was going on I was face down on the asfault being cuffed and frisked.
Long story.

this one time, at band camp-- //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

last night i was driving to my friends house with my wife.so i got my music going its on 20/62 on my pioneer h/u and when i really want to bump i turn it up to 30 and if i really want to piss people off no higher than 36/62 on the volume of my h/u

so the fact that it was on 20 it was bumpin but not that much..atleast to me and my wife...so i'm at a light getting ready to make a right turn and as i make the turn i see a cops a block and a half away standing in the middle of the street watching me come up the block. so the sargent(sp) pulls me over.

i asked him " what am i being pulled over for?"

the cop said "quality of life..your music was too loud and thats y we pulled u over"

so i asked "do u guys have a meter to measure the level of db's i was doing?"

the cop said "no..we go by was reasonably loud and we heard u a block and a half away so thats very loud in a residential area"

so i asked " how can u give me a ticket and u dont have a meter to write down how loud it was?"..and then i hit him in the head with new york laws stating that anything over 120db's is illegal, and me being cocky told the cop i'm in doing dam near 140db's on music. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

the cop just shrugged his shoulders, and said "just drive safely and keep it moving"

thats my story

Last time I got pulled over the cop told me quote "turn your it down or I will seize your shit with a warrant." Pissed me off, but I just talked nice to the cop and he eventually cooled down and let me go. It was about 3:00 am on a main road with only businesses and no houses, I got pulled over across a baseball field, btw.

Those 1khz test tones are quite piercing to the ears.
