Get off my lawn.
I am looking for one of the two, and dunno which one I would like better. Wife has a zune, and I think it is a little big, although I am told them are smaller now. I will be only using it at the gym so I know the smaller the better, and ipod makes some downright small ones. BUT I think Id like to have a display, and a few gigs worth of space. About how many songs does 1 gig hold? Id ask my wife for info, but I get that usual deer in the headlights look from her.

As far as using it in my car... PROBABLY wont happen, but my radio's are all ipod ready, not sure if "iPod ready" means zune ready too???

is it true that once music is on an iPod, its not comig off? MEaning once its full, I cant empty it and add new stuff? I THINK I heard that somewhere, but Im obviously clueless when it comes to these things!!

Haha that is definitly not true.. I owned an ipod 30 gig video.. Prolly what you heard is that if you remove it from the iTunes library it removes it from your iPod also once you reconnect it and sync it, But you can set it so that it doesnt do that, You can add songs manually and just remove them when you want.

well thats good newz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Is it the ITunes that cant come off? Man I wish I remember where I heard this.. It was something like pay for the i Tunes and load it onto ipod but you cant remove it.... Their wayy of keeping people from sharing music.

Wheres a good place to get music from thats ot going to load my computer with a sh!tton of spyware and what not? Im not against paying for it by any means, but I know it adds up FAST!!

My 1 gb iPod Nano holds around 200 songs. Most of my music is 128 kbps right now. If you have higher quality music, you need to take that into account. Definitely get a flash player (Nano or smaller Zune) if you're going to use it for the gym.

I'm pretty sure iPod ready doesn't mean Zune ready. However, if you have a decent headunit it may have an Auxiliary input that would allow you to get signal to it. The Zune just won't charge and you'll have to control the tunes from the Zune itself. You could run the Zune on a car charger that has a headphone output on it though (that's how I have my iPod setup now on my older Alpine unit).

And to answer your question for the "iPod ready" radio questions. I dont believe that means its ready for zune too. Those iPod ones are usually so that you can control your ipod through the radio controls, it lets you see the song name and change songs etc... Some will prolly work with the zune but im not positive.

thats what mine does!

i use a 80gig video as my music storage in my vehicle

but if you're just looking for something for the gym, i use my ipod shuffle in the gym. Ya cant beat it! Its tiny, doesnt get in the way, doesnt weigh anything etc etc. The only downside is you cant really select specific songs, but if you're working out you shouldnt need to do that anyways.

ipod ready usually means the ipod can be directed integrated into the cd player..

meaning you can control the ipod through the cd player.

i've yet to see a headunit that was zune integrable (i think this is the word for able to be integrated)?
