So I just thought i'd share the picture of the sub that is going in my CRX today. It's a sub that was custom engineered by my installer, whom has done installs for the Denver Broncos. It's a 10" sub that will take 750 watts RMS. He was going to start his own line of subs but decided to get into insurance instead. Hence there are a low amount of people that own one of these.

I forgot to mention that he is also building a custom ported box for this sub. It is 1.1 cubic feet and tuned to 35Hz. It's 0 dB drop off is at 17Hz. The amp is also going to be built into the box in a recessed cubby. The front of the amp and the sub as well are going to be flush with the front of the box. I'll definitely get pictures after the install is done.

He said that it is comparable to a W6. I'm excited regardless, the only other system that i've ever had was two 12" Pioneer IMPP's in a prefab sealed box. The older blue ones. This is my first "real" system so to speak.

Maybe I am confused at what I am talking about. I thought that I gathered, from him, that the F3 frequency is where 0dB intersects at the graph he showed me. Which was 17Hz.

I got everything in. I'll get pics of it all ASAP. I'm only feeding the sub about 175 watts or so and it pounds. Hatches FTW!

Looks like a TC9. Expect the driver to be lost if you attempt to play to that 17Hz F3 with any amount of power. I'd assume you'll have some sever unloading issues that far below tuning. Then again, it may handle it well enough.
