Ok, I'm trying to hook up an amp wiring kit for my friend in his 94 Civic 4dr. The headunit is a Sony CDX-L410X, who ever put the deck in the car made sure that no theaf was going to get this deck easily. Their are two screws in the back that i CANNOT unscrew, he had to move the wiring harness around just to connect the RCA plugs. Now, we ran into another problem, I do not know what wire is the remote wire is. Their are I think 3 blue wires back their, a solid blue, a blue with a white stripe and i cannot remember the other one. Now, most stuff I've installed the blue wire is the remote wire. But I have no idea, when i tugg on the wire it doesn't move like its connected to something. I would take the deck out competly but i do not have a bent screw driver to reach the screws. If someone could please help me! It would be great! Sorry for the long post just wanted to get in all the detail. Thanks Again!

I had a 96 Civic EX, I removed everything below the radio, cup holders, stash slot, etc and was able to get to the screw holding the back of the radio in.

The remote should be coming out of the HU and easy to identify. (Usually blue)

Yes I did remove the cup holder and ashtray ect, i can see the bottom of the deck and behind it but behind it are two screws, one on left and right and i CANNOT get to them with any kind of screw drivers i have, the one i have is not angled. I may have not made my self clear, im not putting in the Sony deck, its already their. Im just adding a Amp wiring kit to it to hook up a amp and woofers. And yes i do know its usually blue. On installdr.com they said that newer decks have remote leads that are usualy blue or blue w/white stripe. I dont know which because it has both. This would be much eaiser if i could get the ****!NG deck out! anyway, someone else have any more advice?

On a Sony head unit, the blue/white is the amp turn-on. Solid dark blue is power antenna, and light blue is the mute wire.

Hondas have screws holding in the factory deck on the bottom rear, but you don't usually see them attached to aftermarket head units. Try using a ratchet with a short extension bar and an 8mm socket.
