I need some help please

My friend just called me with a problem. He wired a capacitor in his system and now his sub wont do anything. He has one dual 4ohm Type R 12 and an old school 2 channel Alpine amp. I think its 900 watts and it says v12 on the case, i dont remember the model number off the top of my head. The amp turns on, and all the wires are connected. The sub just wont make any noise. I dont post very often at all, I can usually search and find what I need, but this is pretty specific. Thanks to anyone that helps

well, never mind. I rode over to see what the problem was, somehow his wires in the box came loose
