I NEED help!!!

I am a little slow/very dumb when it comes to car audio and looking to learn. Hopefully I can get some of my questions answered here...

1. I am considering getting the Lanzar VBD2200 for my head unit. what do you guys think of this decision or is Lanzar crap? I was offered what I think is a pretty good deal on it. But I have a pretty high budget and I am willing to pay more to better meet my audio needs so any suggestions are nice

Here is a link to it

2. I have Infinity Kappa 5x7 speakers and 6x8 speakers. I am putting them in my ford contour. What ones should go in the front and what ones in the back? In my car, all 4 speakers are in door panels.

3. Should I get an amp to run these speakers. If I buy the Lanzar CD player, it is 60w x 4ch max output. But I want to get the best out of my speakers. If I do not buy that CD player, then I would assume that I will end up with a 50x4 max output one. What amp do you suggest I get. I was told one of these 2... which one do you think is better...

This Kicker one

or

This alpine one

4. I have an infinity Kappa perfect 12.1 subwoofer. it is a 12" sub with a power handling peak at 1400W and power handling RMS at 350W. I know need a mono amp to run the sub. what amp would you suggest and how powerful of an amp should I be looking at.

that is all. any help is greatly appreciated. If you have any suggestions for a better way to set up my system... (like maybe only amp 2 speakers) or anything to help, feel free to post it. Any help is great to hear from you guys! And overall, do you think my system could sound nice? so far I only have the Infinity Kappa speakers and Infinity Kappa perfect sub but I'm looking to buy the rest.

and for my 2nd question, in case you were wondering the speaker details to help you out... here is some info Power Handling RMS is 100 Watts and Power Handling Peak is 300 Watts

I can get the Lanzar head unit for $90.

I am looking to spend around $160 - $170 for a head unit... but I am definetly willing to pay more...

don't go 5x7 or 6x8. Go with a 5.5" or a 6.5"
just cut a new mount out of mdf wood you will notice a huge increase SQ and midbass.
I did think about that.. as I heard round speakers are better... but I am hoping the difference is not too bad and the 5x7's and 6x8's still sound good.

and just about my other questions... anyone got any help for me on them?

and to add another question (sorry guys), I plan on running all new wire. what guage wire will I need for the speakers? and then what guage for my Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 sub(Power Handling Peak is 1400W Power Handling RMS is 350W)

and I'm still looking for an amp for my sub.

Also, Chevyaudio thanks for the help... just ordered this head unit http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14535
