I just bought a 2005 Mazda 3 Sedan. The exisiting radio is kinda built-in to the dash and I want to connect a sound system to that car but I want to use the existing headunit (if it's possible). I really need help with this one coz all the shops where I live (Philippines) do not want to touch it coz they do not know where to begin.

Does anyone know how to install a system in a Mazda 3?

I want to add 2 amps 2 sets of DLS Speakers, a Sub and an EQ. I just don't if the exisiting radio in my car has RCA outputs or if I can attach amps or an EQ to it.

it's possible to have the stuff installed in the factory radio, never done an install to one but I here it is a hassle to do so, your best bet would be just to get a new headunit

i hope it's not the same as my car if so... i'll be angry at you...

jk man that radio is so easy 2 take out it's not even funny... took me about 10 seconds to figure it out... and i was at the dealership when i did it

check the sig for all that's in mine... i'll post pics if u want... i don't have any of the uninstall but it's really easy to take out the headunit... that trim piece that is above the radio & glovebox... pop it off... open the glovebox and between the middle and left of the glovebox u'll feel a lil spot where u can reach under the trim piece... pull out on it til it unsnaps... then work your way left... on teh right is a hook so don't unsnap the right side... it slides out after you unpop the rest of the piece... then take out the 2 screws holding the radio and pull it out...

Don't worry dude, I didn't get the hatchback, sweet ride tho.

I learned that I could take out the stock radio and replace it with an after market one but I live in a 3rd world country where fiberglass/headunit kits are not available so finding a way to cover up the huge hole it will leave behind would lead me to bigger problems. besides, I kinda like the stock steering wheel remote so if i do change the radio it'll become useless.

for ur steering wheel controls.. PAC SWI-X... plus i have 2 remote for my unit as well haha... but the converters splice into your factory speaker wiring... and change the signal from a high level signal... to a low level rca signal for your amps... some amps have a high level input spot on them or come with their own hi-lo converter...
