I need help with choosing a 4 channel amplifier?

hello to all

I am having difficulties in choosing a 4 channel amplifier (price range US$ 275 - 325) for my car audio sound quality build please give advice to help me choose the amplifier best suited.

Build:

Alpine CDE 154BT head unit

Component: Alpine sps 610c (80rms) (mounted on the front doors)

Coaxial: Alpine sps 610 (80rms) (mounted on the rear dash)

4 channel amplifier: I have narrowed it down to these; focal solid 4, digital design C5d, rockford fosgate prime R400-4D (other brands are welcome)

I plan to get an alpine type r single 12 inch subwoofer with a ported enclosure in the future.

You would do better to put that money into better components and get a 4 channel amp around 180 or less. The type S components are not that good.

For that budget, you can get an awesome amp used. Audison, JL Audio, Sundown, Hertz, Zapco, Alpine, all have decent options I would use.

Massive Audio NX4 is a viable option I've installed. Sounds good on Alpine X-type components.

I agree the type-s isn't anything special. The new models aren't awful.

You can really get a very solid amp for that kind of money. Only do it if you plan on upgrading your speakers...now or later. If you're set on these speakers for a while, you can easily get a $100 amp and never know the difference - you don't need a ton of power to run those.

On Monday I will visit the local car audio shop for the brands u mentioned in used condition which would be great for me. The guys at the shop recommend a used focal solid 4 when i was there the last time, its in excellent condition and never repaired. Is it a good choice?

Post the prices they're quoting you. I'm guessing they're higher there than in the US? If those are the only choices and prices are comparable, I'd go with the C5d.
focal solid 4 - us$270

rockford fosgate prime R400-4D - us$410

c5d - us$300

all are new amplifiers they got one used focal solid 4 i dont know the price for it

i decided to go with the focal solid 4 most likely the used one, because its better suited for sq over the c5d from a bit of research and its also better looking //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Your brand and sound quality suggestions i will use for my future upgrades.

Thank you all

I think largely everything you read about what amp is suited for SQ or not is a myth. Luckily, pretty sure both of those amps are solid. What you're looking for here is reliability, performance, and value. Aesthetics may also be important to you. This thing is red, right? Maybe you can post some pics once everything's installed!
